What is this “boundary” we speak of?

Wikipedia identifies personal boundaries as a “life skill”.  They state that setting boundaries is “the practice of openly communicating and asserting personal values as a way to preserve and protect against having them compromised or violated”.

In other words, when you set personal boundaries you have identified a line that you expect yourself and others “not” to cross.

Let’s examine the challenge Tori is currently facing with her significant other.

Jay is being distant, and of course as any caring partner would be, Tori is concerned and would like to know what the issue is in order to resolve it and move forward.
